Custom Optical Fiber Solutions

Overview

Professional optical fiber customization: based on specific application requirements (such as special wavelength bands, radiation resistance, or mechanical performance), through material selection (such as fluoride/chalcogenide glass), structural design (such as microstructuring/doping control), and process optimization, it achieves targeted enhancement of fiber performance (transmission, sensing, or laser output), providing non-standard solutions for high-end fields such as aerospace, medical, or defense.

Photosensitive Fiber

Photosensitive optical fibers are manufactured using the in-tube chemical vapor deposition process, with fiber cores adopting high germanium-doped and boron-germanium co-doped schemes respectively, combined with reasonable waveguide structure design, giving the fibers strong photosensitivity. Under ultraviolet laser irradiation, the refractive index in the fiber core region can change, thereby enabling gratings to be written into the fiber core. By controlling the grating structure and writing parameters, reflection, selection, and filtering of optical signals at specific wavelengths can be achieved. This series of fibers is mainly suitable for fields such as fiber-optic sensing, fiber lasers, fiber Bragg gratings, and gain flattening filters.

Radiation-Resistant Fiber

Radiation-resistant optical fiber products are specially designed fibers intended to provide stable and reliable optical signal transmission in radiation environments. This series of fibers adopts special material and structural designs, giving them radiation-resistant performance and enabling them to effectively avoid the effects of long-term radiation compared with conventional fibers. Through optimized structural design and independently developed inner and outer coating materials, the product achieves excellent radiation resistance and good temperature stability, making it better suited for application in ionizing radiation environments such as space.

Circular Polarization-Maintaining Fiber

Circular polarization-maintaining fiber is primarily used as a key sensing element in systems such as fiber-optic current transformers. It features circular polarization-maintaining capability and resistance to environmental disturbances. The fiber is manufactured from a high-birefringence preform with a high-speed spin applied during the drawing process. This specially processed spun fiber has two elliptical-polarization eigenmodes, and its intrinsic birefringence effectively resists stress induced by external conditions (e.g., temperature, bending, vibration), thereby maintaining circular polarization properties. The circular polarization-maintaining fiber not only preserves circularly polarized light, but also exhibits outstanding immunity to environmental interference, ensuring high operational accuracy under temperature fluctuations and vibration.

Multi-Core Fiber

Multi-core fiber is a new type of optical fiber with multiple independent cores designed within a common cladding region. According to core spacing, it can be divided into large-core-spacing multi-core fiber and small-core-spacing multi-core fiber. Large-core-spacing multi-core fiber is a fiber that does not produce optical wave coupling, and can improve the optical transmission density per unit area of transmission lines. Because the distances between cores in small-core-spacing multi-core fiber are relatively short, optical wave coupling can occur; dual-core sensors or optical circuit devices developed using this principle can be used in the field of fiber-optic sensing.
