Overview
IdealPhotonics' newly launched Raman fiber amplifier, a fiber amplifier based on the stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) effect, achieves distributed signal amplification in a band shifted by approximately 13 THz (100 nm) through the nonlinear interaction between high-power pump light (e.g., 1450 nm) and signal light. It possesses full-band flexibility and ultra-low noise characteristics, making it a key gain supplement for long-distance communication and broadband systems.By achieving signal amplification at arbitrary wavelengths through the stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) effect (depending solely on pump wavelength selection), and combining distributed gain, ultra-low noise figure (<4 dB), and full-band compatibility, it becomes a "universal optical gain tool" that breaks through the wavelength limitations of traditional rare-earth-doped amplifiers.
