Overview
IdealPhotonics' mid-infrared high-speed detector uses InSb or MCT materials and achieves nanosecond-level response by reducing junction area and capacitance. It requires deep cooling (77K) to maintain high detectivity (>10¹⁰ Jones) and is applied to missile guidance and transient spectral analysis.It enables rapid mid-infrared imaging (MHz frame rate), but the cooling system increases size and power consumption.
