Overview
Idealphotonics' has launched high-speed modulators and attenuators. The modulator rapidly changes optical wave parameters (intensity/phase/frequency) through electro-optic/acousto-optic effects to achieve GHz-level signal encoding; the attenuator precisely controls light intensity (mechanical or electronically controlled) to ensure power stability. Both are used in conjunction for dynamic optical path management in optical communication, laser systems, and other applications.Key parameters for the modulator include modulation bandwidth (GHz), extinction ratio (dB), insertion loss (dB), and drive voltage (Vπ). The key parameters for the attenuator are attenuation range (dB), resolution (dB), response time (ms/μs), and return loss (dB). Together, these parameters determine the dynamic control accuracy and signal integrity of the optical communication system.
