Overview
Idealphotonics' has launched a laser diode collimating and focusing sleeve, an integrated optomechanical component specifically designed for beam shaping (collimation) and target focusing of highly divergent elliptical beams emitted by laser diodes (LDs). Its core function is to transform the fast-axis (~30° divergence angle) and slow-axis (~10° divergence angle) beams of the LD into low-divergence (<1mrad) circularly symmetrical focused beams through built-in optical elements.Through an integrated design of fast/slow-axis discrete collimation (FAC/SAC) and a composite focusing optical path, the highly divergent elliptical beams of the laser diode are transformed into low-divergence (<1mrad), circularly symmetrical μm-level focused beams, achieving both high energy density and assembly stability.
