Overview
IdealPhotonics' optical isolator, a near-infrared free-space optical device specifically designed for the near-infrared band (780-2500nm), is a non-reciprocal optical device. Through the Faraday magneto-optical effect (such as TGG crystals) combined with polarization control, it achieves unidirectional transmission of optical signals (low-loss forward transmission, high-attenuation blocking in the reverse direction), thereby protecting the laser source from back-reflected light interference or damage.Based on the Faraday magneto-optical effect (such as TGG crystals) and polarization modulation, it achieves high isolation (>40dB) unidirectional optical transmission in the near-infrared band (780-2500nm), while also possessing kilowatt-level power tolerance, free-space insertion compatibility, and wide-temperature stability, providing anti-reflection hard protection for industrial-grade laser systems.

Free space isolator (355-4500nm customizable)

Free space isolators can be divided into two categories: polarization dependent and polarization independent. Polarization related isolators, also known as Faraday isolators, are mainly composed of three parts: polarizer, Faraday rotator, and analyzer (at a 45 ° angle to the polarizer's polarization axis). Polarization independent isolators are mainly composed of birefringent crystals (or polarizers), Faraday rotator, and half wave plates. They are commonly used in fiber lasers to effectively maintain the stability of the optical system. Using high-quality magneto-optical crystals with features such as low absorption, high extinction ratio, and low loss, the product has excellent and reliable performance. 1310/1550nm free space single-stage/two-stage isolator

The fiber optic isolator made using Faraday rotation effect consists of an isolator core, a branch fiber collimator, and a sleeve. Components such as outer magnet tubes.
