Overview
IdealPhotonics' thermal probe is a broadband optical power sensor based on the thermopile or pyroelectric effect. It calculates light intensity by absorbing light energy, converting it into heat energy, and measuring temperature changes. Its response range covers the ultraviolet to far-infrared (200nm-20μm), making it suitable for applications requiring wavelength-independent measurements, such as laser power monitoring and industrial processing control.While it offers a wavelength-independent, flat response (200nm-20μm), its slow response speed (milliseconds) necessitates temperature compensation circuitry.
