Overview
IdealPhotonics' metallized optical fiber is a special type of optical fiber with a precision-coated metal layer (such as gold or aluminum) on its surface. This metal coating upgrades mechanical and electrical properties, including conductivity, welding, and sealing, making it suitable for extreme environments such as high-temperature sensing, optoelectronic composite transmission, and aerospace."Optical fiber-metal heterogeneous integration" simultaneously achieves optical transmission and conductivity/welding/corrosion resistance through a precision surface metal coating (such as gold/aluminum, with sub-micron thickness), breaking through the environmental limits of traditional optical fibers (temperature resistance > 800℃). This empowers special scenarios such as spacecraft wiring harnesses and strong electromagnetic environment sensing.
