Overview
Idealphotonics' 1350-1500nm VCSEL diodes are communication-band vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers based on the InP/InGaAsP material system. Employing a strain-compensated quantum well and a composite DBR structure to achieve long-wavelength emission, they are primarily targeted at high-end applications such as 1550nm fiber optic communication, gas molecule detection (e.g., the 1392nm water vapor absorption line), and mid-infrared optical sensing. These are cutting-edge devices that break through the wavelength limitations of traditional VCSELs.Based on InP/InGaAsP strained superlattices and composite DBR technology, communication-band laser emission is achieved, combining low threshold voltage (1.8-3.5kA/cm²) and high single-mode purity (side-mode suppression ratio >35dB). This demonstrates irreplaceable advantages in precise spectral matching in high-end applications such as 1490nm wavelength division multiplexing and 1383nm gas sensing.
