Overview
IdealPhotonics' rare-earth-doped fiber is a special type of fiber in which rare-earth ions (such as erbium/ytterbium/thulium) are incorporated into the fiber core. By exciting these rare-earth ions with pump light, stimulated emission or photon conversion occurs, enabling functional applications such as fiber amplifiers, lasers, and fluorescent light sources."Precise control of rare-earth ion (such as Er³⁺/Yb³⁺/Tm³⁺) energy levels" allows for optical amplification, laser generation, or wavelength conversion through pump excitation, enabling directional applications such as fiber amplifiers (e.g., EDFA), high-power lasers, and mid-infrared light sources.
