IdealPhotonics' InP (Indium Phosphide) balanced photodetector, a dual-channel detector integrated with an InP photonic chip (such as a modulator), achieves low-loss (<1dB) optical signal reception through waveguide coupling, suitable for co-package designs of silicon photonic chips.It has the potential for monolithic integration with InP waveguides, reducing coupling loss, but the manufacturing process is more challenging than with discrete devices.
