Amplified detectors

  • Si Amplified Photodetector

IdealPhotonics' Si amplified detector is a monolithically integrated device combining a silicon PIN photodiode and a transimpedance amplifier (TIA). Through semiconductor technology, it achieves high-gain conversion of photocurrent to voltage signals in the visible light band (400-1100nm). Typical applications include spectral analysis, laser ranging, and ambient light sensing in consumer electronics.High gain (10⁶ V/A) and low dark current (<1 pA) in the visible light band (400-1100nm), low cost, but insensitive to infrared light.

  • InGaAs Amplified Photodetector

Idealphotonics' has launched an InGaAs (Indium Gallium Arsenide) amplified detector, extending its high-sensitivity range to the short-wave infrared (SWIR, 900-2600nm). The detector rate in the 1.55μm communication band is optimized by adjusting the InGaAs composition. Its APD version offers avalanche gain, suitable for ultra-weak light detection in single-photon counting and quantum communication.Wide infrared response and avalanche gain (APD version), detector rate >10¹² Jones, but requires cooling to maintain pA-level dark current.

  • InAsSb Amplified Photodetector

IdealPhotonics' InAsSb indium arsenide antimony amplification detector is an tunable detector covering the 3-12μm mid-to-long-wave infrared range by adjusting the arsenide and antimony composition. Some models support thermoelectric cooling (-40°C) operation, balancing performance and power consumption. Its applications include industrial thermal imaging and fire early warning systems.High detectivity (>10¹⁰ Jones) in the 8-14μm atmospheric window, with some models requiring no cooling, presents a potential alternative to HgCdTe.
