Overview
IdealPhotonics' plasma light source is a device that generates high-temperature plasma by exciting ionized gases (such as xenon, argon, and mercury vapor) through gas discharge or laser excitation, thereby radiating continuous/line spectra in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared bands. It features high brightness (>10⁴ cd/m²), broad spectral coverage, and fast response characteristics, and is specifically designed for high-end lighting, lithography machines, and spectral calibration.Utilizing the radiative transitions of plasma-state matter (electron-ion mixture), it achieves broad-spectrum emission (line spectrum + continuous spectrum) from deep ultraviolet (<200 nm) to near-infrared, with power densities reaching the kW/cm² level and response speeds in the μs range. However, it requires high-voltage drive (kV) and a cooling system, making it a high-energy radiation source for semiconductor lithography, solar simulators, and scientific calibration.
