Idealphotonics' has launched a thulium-doped fiber amplifier, a fiber amplifier based on the energy level transition of thulium ions (Tm³⁺). It achieves signal amplification in the 1800-2100 nm wavelength band (S-band) through 790 nm or 1400 nm pumping, and is specifically designed for long-wavelength communication and medical laser systems.It achieves >20 dB gain in the 1800-2100 nm wavelength band (S-band), combining eye safety and water molecule absorption matching advantages, but has low pump efficiency (requiring high-power pumping at 1400 nm). It is specifically optimized for long-wavelength communication and biological tissue ablation applications.

Idealphotonics thulium doped desktop single frequency polarization maintaining/single-mode fiber amplifier is a specially designed power amplifier for ultra narrow linewidth and single frequency signal light (such as fiber lasers based on DFB and DBR principles). This amplifier can amplify low-power optical signals in the kHz range to an output power of up to 50W, while maintaining the spectral characteristics of the input signal light well. Our amplifier uses a high-power and high-performance multi-mode pump source internally, and adopts double clad fiber amplification technology (the polarization maintaining doped thulium fiber amplifier is an integrated design with a fully polarization maintaining structure), with continuously adjustable output power. The desktop fiber amplifier is a complete Turn Key system controlled by a microprocessor, with a laser on switch and power status LCD display on the front panel, as well as an output power adjustment knob. Desktop polarization maintaining/single-mode fiber amplifiers (TDFA) can be widely used in scientific research, coherent synthesis, coherent detection sensing systems, and more.
