Fiber Cleaver

Overview
IdealPhotonics' fiber optic cleaver is a precision tool used for accurately cutting the end face of optical fibers. It creates an ultra-flat cross-section (typical angle ≤0.5°) on optical fibers (such as silica glass or plastic fibers) using mechanical or laser methods to meet the optical connection requirements of low insertion loss (<0.1dB) and high return loss (>60dB). Its core functions include positioning, cutting, and end face inspection, and it is widely used in fiber optic splicing, patch cord fabrication, and optical device packaging.Employing diamond/tungsten carbide precision blades and an adaptive pressure control system, this technology achieves ultra-flat fiber end-face cutting (angle ≤ 0.1°, roughness Ra < 10nm) through nanometer-level positioning accuracy (±1μm) and dynamic stress optimization. Its innovative "AI vision real-time inspection" technology can automatically identify and remove defects (edge chipping < 0.5μm). In 5G base station splicing (loss < 0.05dB), data center patch cords (return loss > 65dB), and special fiber processing (such as photonic crystal fiber), it increases cutting efficiency by 10 times, redefining the performance benchmark for fiber end-face processing.
