Photosensitive Fiber
The photosensitive fiber is manufactured using an inside-tube chemical vapor deposition (MCVD) process. The fiber core is designed with heavily germanium-doped or boron-germanium co-doped schemes, combined with an optimized waveguide structure, to provide strong photosensitivity. Under ultraviolet laser exposure, the refractive index of the core region can be altered, allowing gratings to be inscribed in the fiber core. By controlling the grating structure and writing parameters, specific wavelength signals can be reflected, selected, or filtered. This series of fibers is primarily used in fiber-optic sensing, fiber lasers, fiber Bragg gratings, and gain-flattening filters.
