Stabiλaser 1542ε – Acetylene‑Stabilized Fiber Laser
The Stabiλaser 1542ε (epsilon version) is a second-generation acetylenestabilized fiber laser. It offers the same narrow linewidth, excellent long-term stability, and high precision as its predecessor. The design retains the short-term linewidth of a high-end fiber laser while adding the longterm stability and accuracy derived from acetylene molecular transitions. As a high-performance laser source, it operates continuously and troublefree without user intervention. By combining the Stabiλaser 1542ε with an all-fiber frequency-doubling technique, an additional output at 771 nm can be obtained. This solution ensures that the 771 nm signal inherits the excellent short-term linewidth and long-term stability of the Stabiλaser 1542. The Stabiλaser 1542ε can deliver 1 mW of power at both 771 nm and 1542 nm. This solution can later be used to upgrade the Stabiλaser 1542ε.

Technology
The core of the Stabiλaser 1542ε is a compact, ultra-low-noise fiber laser stabilized to the ¹³C₂H₂ P(16) (v₁+v₃) transition at λ = 1542.3837 nm, which corresponds to a frequency of f = c/λ = 194 369 569 384 kHz (the laser output is offset by 80 MHz due to internal modulation). The laser meets the conditions recommended by the CIPM for standard frequencies and can be used as a primary standard with an uncertainty of 5 kHz. Proprietary optical design and control software ensure autonomous operation and high quality laser output. The Stabiλaser 1542ε is housed in a 19 inch chassis and is controlled by an external computer.
