Hollow core anti resonant fiber (with a guiding range of 200-350nm and a core diameter of 33 or 35um)

Overview

Hollow core anti resonant fiber (with a guiding range of 200-350nm and a core diameter of 33 or 35um)

Quartz fiber has been widely used in various scenarios through laser transmission. However, in many fields, due to the nonlinear effects caused by the material, the light guide window, and the damage mechanism of laser on the fiber material, quartz based laser transmission has basically reached the limit of fiber. Anti resonant fiber (ARF) is a hollow core fiber in which light can be confined to a hollow material with a refractive index lower than that of the fiber material and propagate along the fiber axis. Hollow fibers have extremely low nonlinearity, high damage threshold, and minimal overlap between the internal transmitted beam and the surrounding glass, providing a unique possible solution for fiber based, very high-power lasers. This will lead to breakthrough applications in fields such as laser manufacturing, laser ignition, defense, ultrafast lasers, nonlinear endoscopes/microscopes, and gas based mid infrared lasers.
