Ultra-Fine Diameter Panda-Type Polarization-Maintaining Optical Fiber for Fiber Optic Gyroscope Sensing Coils

The ultra-fine diameter Panda-type polarization-maintaining optical fiber for fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) sensing coils is developed in response to the evolving trends in FOG applications. It offers a 60 μm ultra-fine diameter polarization-maintaining fiber, aiming to enhance the fiber's bending performance. Its attenuation, crosstalk, and other performance parameters meet the winding requirements for various small-form-factor fiber coils. For this application, the inner and outer coating materials have been independently developed, providing excellent full-temperature stability, environmental adaptability, and mechanical reliability. The fiber is suitable for operation over a temperature range of -50 °C to +105 °C.
