  • 1550nm C-band ASE Modular with Broadband Light Source of 10mW (Gaussian Spectrum)

1550nm C-band ASE Modular with Broadband Light Source of 10mW (Gaussian Spectrum)

C- band ASE broadband light source (Gaussian spectrum) is a special light source developed for fiber optic gyroscope applications. The operating wavelength is in the 1550nm wavelength range, and the spectrum is close to the Gaussian shape. Through spectrum control and temperature compensation, better wavelength stability and power stability are achieved, which is very suitable for applications such as fiber optic gyroscopes.

  • FBG Filter of 50GHz 1550nm

    FBG Filter of 50GHz 1550nm

Fiber Bragg gratings are widely used components in optical communications. FBGs act as narrowband filters in optical fibers. Bragg gratings are printed in optical fibers by a holographic process. They can be produced either with standard single-mode fibers or with special fibers, namely radiation-mode suppressed fibers used to reduce cladding mode losses.

  • PM Optical Isolator (Single-Stage) 780nm 500mW FC/APC

    PM Optical Isolator (Single-Stage) 780nm 500mW FC/APC

Idealphotonics offers a broad portfolio of fiber isolators in the 780-1310nm wavelength range. These isolators can be provided with any single-mode fiber-coupled device (laser, SLD, SOA, gain module) purchased from our company. In such cases, the device is characterized with the isolator, and the measurement report reflects the performance at the OI output. The equipment can be spliced to avoid additional loss and feedback at the FC/APC connector. For the 1060-1310nm wavelength range, the fiber isolator features a compact (55x5.5x5.5mm) lightweight package with a maximum input power of 300-500mW. In the shorter range (780-1055nm), due to the use of a different material with lower optical power absorption, the OI is offered in a significantly larger (up to 118x37x35mm) and heavier metal package. The same material is used in high-power OIs to achieve input powers of up to 1W input power.

  • 100G bandwidth 1545-1555nm 10nm tunable filter (3dB bandwidth 0.8nm)

    100G bandwidth 1545-1555nm 10nm tunable filter (3dB bandwidth 0.8nm)

The core component of the filter is an optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) with a periodic variation in refractive index. When a broadband light beam is passed through the fiber Bragg grating, each small section of the fiber with the altered refractive index reflects only a specific wavelength of light, called the Bragg wavelength, while other wavelengths of light pass through. The change in strain simultaneously affects the effective refractive index of the fiber Bragg grating and the grating period, allowing for tuning of the reflected wavelength. In this device, the Bragg wavelength can be tuned to the desired wavelength by simply adjusting the grating with a fine-threaded screw.

  • Dual Channel Fiber Optic Array

    Dual Channel Fiber Optic Array

Idealphotonics provides custom fiber arrays with different fiber types. The fiber types we currently supply include single-mode, multi-mode, and polarization maintaining. At the same time, we can also customize fiber arrays with different fiber lengths. Thanks to many years of processing experience, we can currently provide high-precision fiber grinding and alignment, and we can also glue the fibers together for grinding and polishing. Our high-precision alignment equipment can achieve a polarization-maintaining fiber alignment with an angle deviation better than 0.5deg, and our end-face observer can ensure that the end-face grinding quality meets special application areas, such as interferometers. In addition, our processing accuracy can reach a spacing as small as 5μm. At the same time, we also customize different connectors for different application requirements of customers. Welcome to contact us for processing and customized fiber arrays.

  • 10:90 2x2 1064nm Polarization Maintaining Fiber Coupler FC/APC

    10:90 2x2 1064nm Polarization Maintaining Fiber Coupler FC/APC

These 2x2 polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber couplers are designed for the wavelength range of 460-2200 nm, with selectable coupling ratios of 50:50, 75:25, 90:10, or 99:1. The 2x2 couplers are bidirectional and can be used for signal splitting and combining (see the 2x2 coupler example label). The polarization-maintaining couplers are fabricated using panda-type PM fibers, enabling them to maintain high polarization extinction ratios (PER) when light propagates along the slow axis of the fiber. As shown in the right diagram, stress rods are aligned parallel to the fiber core and apply stress, creating birefringence within the fiber core to achieve polarization-maintaining functionality. Typical applications of polarization-maintaining couplers include optical sensors, optical amplifiers, and fiber optic gyroscopes.
