Low-Refractive-Index Adhesive
MP-PC-373AP low-refractive-index adhesive is a UV/radiation-curable acrylic material developed for optical fibre and related optical applications, primarily used for polymer cladding fabrication. It features a low refractive index, combined with rapid curing, excellent yellowing resistance, heat resistance, and resistance to oxidation and hydrolysis. These properties make it suitable for fibre cladding applications where both optical performance and environmental stability are required. In the liquid state, the refractive index is 1.367 at 25 °C and 589 nm; after curing, it is 1.373 at 852 nm. The material cures rapidly under UV radiation, with the manufacturer‑recommended minimum UV dose for full cure being 1000 mJ/cm², tested under a nitrogen atmosphere.
Product features:Low refractive index; Fast UV curing;Good yellowing resistance;Good heat and environmental stability;Moderate flexibility

Handling Precautions
Store away from light: Keep the material away from direct sunlight to prevent premature polymerisation caused by light exposure.
Control storage temperature: The recommended storage temperature is 10–30 °C. Avoid prolonged storage at high or very low temperatures.
Keep away from oxidising agents and radical sources: Improper storage conditions may induce polymerisation. Avoid contact with oxidising agents and substances that may generate free radicals.
Avoid direct skin and eye contact: The material may cause skin and eye irritation. Wear gloves and safety goggles during handling. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
Cure under appropriate conditions: The manufacturer‑recommended minimum UV dose for full cure is 1000 mJ/cm², tested under nitrogen. The actual dose required will vary with coating thickness.
Process validation recommended before use: UV intensity, exposure time, coating thickness, and production speed all affect the final curing result. It is not advisable to directly adopt a single fixed parameter without prior validation.
